Content Stream: A collection of articles, related to specific topic(s) or publication(s). Once set up, the stream is continuously updated with relevant new articles. The articles will be displayed in order, based on relevance and time.
Campaign Queue: A collection of articles that are explicitly added by users. This is typically used to drive a social media campaign and will be released in the “first in first out order”.
Channel: A content stream or a campaign queue.
User profile: Information about a user who has been authorized to be a NewzSocial user as part of a business or for personal sign ups.
Social Profile: A user can add their social profiles (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, EdCast) to their user profile. This enables the user to share articles on social media and join business’ employee advocacy programs.
Social Touch Point: Social network platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, EdCast).
Curator: A user who is authorized to select, add and highlight an article into a content stream or a campaign queue. A curator typically adds a comment to the article that explains its relevance in the context of a channel.
Social Advocate: A user who is part of a business employee advocacy program and gives access to specific social touch points. The user can review and approve posts made on his/her behalf.
Campaign: The business process workflow for an article to be selected from a channel and posted on social media using one or more user social profiles. The campaign specifies the target social touch point, the posting schedule, and the branding rules.
NewzSocial Plug-in: An extension tool that alerts social advocates of pending posts and allows them to review and approve posts directly from browser toolbar.
Step 2:
Connect Social Profiles
and Grant Permissions

In the example below, it is connecting to Twitter. However, we encourage you to connect to multiple social networks to increase your reach.



Click Save at the bottom.
Note: The default is Auto permissions for posting but you may change the settings to Manual permissions. In that case, you will have to manually approve posts as shown in Step 3 below.
Step 3:
Approve Posts
If you had selected “Manual” permissions for posting, you would have to take an additional step to ensure posting of content on your social media networks

Click to Approve or Delete an article. You can also edit (and save) comments.
Step 4:
Add Plugins
Install Chrome and Firefox extensions for keeping track of articles pending approval. Initially, the icon will be grey in color but will transform to a colored icon once you click on it. The number displayed correlates to the number of articles in queue. Click on it to review and manually approve articles.

Explore the pre-built, categorized content streams that we have in NewzSocial.

Discover Content
Search for content using your own keywords

Search for content using keywords

Articles with the keywords will be displayed
Step 7:
Create Content Streams
Create your own unique content streams for content you have found using your keywords.

Click on create stream

Click on create

Channel will appear in “My Personal Streams”

Read an Article
Select interesting articles to view.

Click on the article for it to be opened in an additional tab

Article will open in an additional tab
Step 9:
Curate an Article
Select an article you like, add a comment, and curate it into the content stream. Now, it is a bookmarked article for your personal reference.

A gold star will appear for articles that have been curated

A comment icon will appear for articles that have been commented on
